We have a recycling problem at our house. Our bins are placed on our front porch, which has almost no protection from the elements. Our cardboard gets soggy, and our plastics fill with snow. The bins also take up a lot of room.

To solve this, I made a protected stacked recycling bin shelf.

To start, I took some basic measurements and drew a simple sketch. The design uses two levels of rails that the bins can slide on, with a sloped PVC roof to protect them from precipitation.

The final design worked well. I hope the new tenants enjoy it as much as we did.
